

We hosted a Thai Dinner event this winter with Thai chef Joe Hatch-Surisook, a friend of Rev. Lisa Friedman. He showed a group of 25 people how to prepare an authentic soup, pad thai and cucumber salad.

The UU Humanity Series will present Father Elias Chacour, author of Blood Brothers and We Belong
to the Land, Monday, May 12th at 7:00 pm. Nominated several times for the Nobel Peace Prize, Father
Chacour is a world renowned Palestinian priest who has spent his life working to achieve peace and
reconciliation among Israeli Jews, Christians and Muslims. Father Chacour has built schools, libraries,
and summer camps for children of all religions. He is in the U.S. this spring and we feel fortunate to
have him as a Humanity Speaker. Blood Brothers is available for purchase in the foyer. Cost is $12. An envelope is provided for checks.
